Siladol Coffee and Garden

Location:

On Sukhumvit Rd left hand side as going towards Rayong. 500 metres past the railway line bridge.

Description:

What a wonderful little find this place is. It was a recommendation from our friends at Phala Pier Cafe and Bar.

The main area is a garden ornament shop. It sells many concrete statues, waterfalls and wall decoration fixtures. Very large and beautifully laded out. Many ideas for your home and garden. To one side is a wooden furniture area selling old Thai style pieces. Not sure if they are antique, but looked lovely and well worth checking if you are interested in these.

There is a huge fish pond which I found most interesting. It's design and layout gave me some ideas on how I would like mine to look. Asking the owner and staff I discovered that they had constructed it themselves using information from YouTube. I'll have to check it out.

Food:

We only had 2 dishes. A Club Sandwich and the Green Curry Spaghetti.

The sandwich was very traditional with crisps. Many places in Thailand will serve with fires. Tasty and fresh.

The spaghetti was delicious. I have never had this before, but Prae says it was the best she had ever tried.

Mocca coffee was just average, but the latte was very good. Not too milky.

Prices are reasonable.

Service:

It wasn't busy when we arrived. The staff rushed to ensure our orders were taken as soon as we were seated.

While waiting, we checked out the decor and the items that were on just about every level location. The walls covered with clocks etc. All for sale. (Except an old style radio I would have liked to buy.)

Parking:

Off street parking at front. Also small 3 car and motor bike parking inside near side entrance.

Hours:

8am to 5pm daily.
Staff told us that they stay open later on weekends. Not sure when.
